I've been struggling to replicate this "swishy tremolo" for the last couple days without success (clip from Chris Abbott's remix of Driller, on Back In Time 2):

I know this was an incredibly common effect during the 80s. What was the synth, a DX7? What was the patch, and how would you describe it so it can be recreated? I can emulate the tremolo, and the slowly panning resonance filter, but I'm having trouble with the "swishy attack" on each beat.
