The collected works of Thomas W. - Page 1

Hello to all,

i do not want to be the master/teacher/instructor.

But i have a small problem with the "hinv"-Thread.

On the Forum-Mainpage you can read:

hinv

A place to post hardware inventories; format is topic: basic system description; body: output of hinv -v

Does it not mean something like that:

Topic:
Tezro V12 4xR16K 700MHz
O2000 6CPU R12K
O2 R10000 175MHz, 384MB RAM

Body: output hinv -v bla,bla,bla

But what kind of machine is this:

Topic:
me too ;-)
my Octane and my O2
Dev system/video editing, O2
Nekochan.net webserver O2
just upgraded Octane
Home Origin 2000 :)

and so on, and so on.

Could we standardize it?

Topic:

Kind of machine (O2, Octane, Tezro, Onyx2, etc.)
CPU (R10k 250MHz, R12k 300MHz, R20k 1000MHz, etc.)
RAM (in MB)
Graphic-Option

And one topic for ONE MACHINE.

So you can see at first sight if the machine is interesting for you.

(i have to apologize to you for my horrible english)
Hello to all,

yesterday i got (get, have gotten ???) the permission from Satu Heikkilä (Realsoft Graphics) to post the link to the Realsoft 3D IRIX-Demo.

Here we go

http://www.realsoft.com/packages/realsoft3d-26.41b-beta-irix-mips.sh (17 MB)

And it is working

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your interest in Realsoft 3D !

You can download the IRIX version at
http://www.realsoft.com/packages/realso ... ix-mips.sh
During the setup in the User Information -dialog just type "demo" in the
serial number box.

I will be on your disposal if you have any questions.
Kind regards,

Satu Heikkilä
Realsoft Graphics

And the next one:

Thomas,

Yes, of course you can post the link. Thank you for thinking of it.

Please note that Realsoft 3D for IRIX (mips) is still in beta stage. New
release is estimated to be available in the begin of this year- supporting
latest SGI operating systems. At the moment we are converting new native
IRIX setup..

Kind regards,

Satu Heikkilä
Realsoft Graphics

Go get it, boy (and girl)
@ mis:

Something wrong with the Lightwave 3D logo ???

Lightwave 3D v.5.6 was the first 3D programm on my SGI and i think it is a nice logo.
good job.
very nice work!!!

Which version of Lightwave did u use for it?
The third is HERE!!!

HANDS UP!!!
Hello to all,

could one of the compiler-profis please compile this.

http://sarien.sourceforge.net/index.html

I would love to see the old Sierra Adventures on my O2.

Thank you in advance :D
Yes, i know scummvm and it is great.

I have played Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2 on my O2.

But now i would like to play the Kings Quest Adventures.

SO PLEASE... give me the SARIEN!!!
I have bought me a box with 10 LucasArts Adventures:

- Day of the Tentacle
- Monkey Island I
- Maniac Mansion
- Zak McKracken
- LOOM
- Monkey Island II
- Indiana Jones, Fate of Atlantis
- Indiana Jones, Last Crusade
- Sam & Max
- Indiana Jones, Desktop Adventures (will not run with SCUMMVM)

a lot of fun for your bucks.

Simon the Sorcerer was from eBay.
What i know is:

IRIX is running on SGI-MIPS-Hardware

IRIX will not run on Intel, PPC or something.
INDY-Bag
Sorry, no photo with an SGI, but an horse:

It is the Neko S.W.A.T.

In case an SGI is in trouble, the Neko S.W.A.T. will come and rescue them.
I hope...
NO ALCOHOL, thank you.

E-Mail from Pavel Kanzelsberger:

Hi,

I'm not sure I'm able to do it right now, I lack hardware, IRIX OS too :)

I will also need few tools to be present on IRIX ... isn't it running Sparc processors? Or RISC or what was it? :)

Pixel32 can run only on x86, PowerPC and Sparc right now.
