SGI: Discussion

related SGI stuff you have, merchandising, posters...

please no computers :D

I mean everytuhin from a nice sticker to a huge poster or SGI clothing...
We are here on Earth to do good to others. What the others are here for, I don't know.
Hmm... let's see...

I've got a nice business-card sized badge with a picture of some white icy mountains, the sea and a fiery torus rolling on the water towards the mountains. There's the cube logo along with the writing "SiliconGraphics Computer Systems" in the lower-right corner and "See what's possible" is written above the mountains.
On the other side of the badge, there's a small circuit with a blinking red light that's between the letters P and S of the word "possible" in the writing.

I also have some brochures about Indy, Indigo2 and the Indy Webforce model.
As for the clothing... I have two T-shirts with a picture of an Indigo2 on the back and one with an O2. (Both have the cube logo, too :) )
I have a mousepad that lists an obsolete phone number for sgi express
service, Germany, which makes me vomit when I look at it after some
experiences with their "service" :)

friedbits :duckie:
I must say that I have a bunch of Apple stuff, from biros to t-shirts, polos, stickers, banners, flags, mugs, posters... but no SGI ones

P.S. Not mainly related sure, but well, it is also stuff, I also have the 'old' Mac OS 9 in every language it was released and the whole Mac OS X version since Mac OS X DP4   (all them courtesy of Apple Computer).

I have an Octane keychain, it's pretty neat.
I've got a big green coffee mug with the new SGI logo on it. Tried drinking out of it once, but it's just too huge - that much caffeine would kill a horse. So it mostly just sits on my desk at work.

I've also got one of the vinyl SGI stickers that you see on eBay occasionally and a purple Indigo2 mousepad. And that 11-piece SGI toolkit, also from eBay. Still trying to figure out what that plunger thing in the middle is for.
i have brochures for octane and o2 (i cut up spares and put em up like posters) but my only real one would be:

"Origin - begin here" poster for Origin 200 & 2000

purtty..

;)
ubi dubium ibi libertas
"This is the new Boeing 777. This is the box in came in." I've got this poster up in my office.

Octane hat, Cray Research hat, Power of Insight hat.

Cube logo canvas bag & mini-screwdriver set I got from http://www.sgistore.com waaaay back in the day.

4 different styles of mousepads.

eBay tookit, eBay vinyl cube logo stickers, which are really nice.

Bandit Video #6 (VHS). Shows AutoCAD running on an Indigo I think.

And of couse, The New New Thing. A must read.

Love to get my hands on an O2 bag. Or I'd settle for an Indy or Indigo2 bag.
I have a great little origin 200 wind up to still sealed in it's original box. Purple & magenta silicon Graphics computer systems slinky!
(My pride & joy :D )
A collection of celebrating 20years pins
Silicon Graphics stickers from Ebay (these are pasted to my rack)
O2 introduction video from 1996 & luck last a o2 T-Shirt.

Damn, you bastard! I'd so love to own that one - or at least a high quality scan of it :-)
Here's a low quality shot for those that don't know it yet:

There used to be an SGI sales office about five miles from here. That's where I got it... Probably ten years ago. A friend and I walked in there one day BS-ing with the sales guy like we had fifty grand to drop. He gave us the posters and some other stuff. My friend got the poster with the Ford Escort or Taurus or something like that on it. I just remember the car was a red Ford.

If I could scan it I would. But if someone does have a high quality scan I would be able to print them full size.

Here's what the bottom of the poster says.
