For cases like this, when you don't exactly know what you have in your hands, the disktype utility is handy.

Too many versions of the irix clone script show up in search. Can anyone point to the most up to date version?

Oh, didn't your hear "Hotel California" in the background when you first arrived? ;^)

Unfortunately, TinEye doesn't find anything. It looks like you are wearing raingear - did you have the same weather as we did in Norway (and Sweden) this July? I had to use my raingear a bit too.

Since it hasn't been mentioned here yet: NetBSD also has support for xfs. Or had, the release I used back when I tried it a few years ago is very old now, I haven't kept up with NetBSD developments since then.

The only convention I have is that my machines have a short alias in my local DNS, so I don't have to type the long name every time. Other than that, I'm using the same "method" as duck. :)

I'm pretty sure that NetBSD has never supported xfs (there certainly isn't any support in the source tree I have checked out, which should be HEAD somewhere around 7.99.13). There is support for efs and the sgi volume headers though, perhaps you were thinking of that?

Possible mix up with efs here, yes.

Do you have any pictures of your XP217? The Terminals wiki have very little on it: http://terminals.classiccmp.org/wiki/in ... nix_XP217C

Well, at least it shows how well sarcasm comes across in forums. :^)

Congrats! Well done!

Yep, to much money for me to splurge for a thing that I will use as a "toy".

Yes, interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Well, if the OP's posts were worthwhile, he / she can just post them again.

It could be because the forum software allows (some) html tags (you know, words in '<' and '>' brackets, I've seen that problem on other forums before.
