I stumbled onto this price list form 2006. I don't know how to make it readable in a post.

I have a parts machine with good plastics and drive you can have for the price of shipping. Free if you come pick it up.

As far as I know there should be no issue putting your system module into any O2. I have received O2s that had different SCSI cables, some with DVD drives and some with shielding around the SCSI cable to the CD. I will send you a system that was running fine and just gave its system board to an O2+ so you should be able to plug in and go.

And no, I don't bite........ yet

Hey Guys,

I picked this system up a while back and finally got it powered up. It will see the GN brick and drive the display when I use just the base O350 and the GN, but when I plug in the router and other machines I lose the Display.

Here is the startup output.....

Yes, that is the one. It came up on ebay and was within driving distance (17 hours round trip) so I picked it up. It has 2 graphics bricks, 2 router bricks and could be broken down into 2 fun systems.

That is the same graphics path that works when I run just the O350 and the GN brick. As soon as I add the router and other O350s I lose the graphics. Or are you saying something that I am missing?

if you're running only one o350 it might ignore the vga path but as soon as you have more o350s the path must be right. is it?

This turned out to be the case. When I looked at all of the bricks one was 002c26 so I connected the G2 brick to that system and the console works. All of this has been done with the L2 disconnected.

How many of each type of module and how are they interconnected to each other, the L2 and the router(s)?

I originally had the L2 connected to the two routers, the two G2 bricks connected to the base module XIO and another module XIO and all of the O350s plugged into the closest router port. When I couldn't get a graphics console, I removed one G2 brick and one router then connected the 8 O35s to one router and disconnected the L2 all together. I need to hit the L1/ L2 manual. I plan to break this system down into 2 or 3 smaller systems, perhaps 2 with G2 modules and connect some of the O350s to my IR3 G-brick.

$200-250 for a complete Octane2 is not rare on ebay but they do sell fast. The big cost on them is the shipping. I have sold several of these systems and people can't understand that sending a 75 pound computer with proper packaging is expensive.

If something is a good deal on ebay you need to jump on it. I think I was looking at the same Fuel you are talking about, but I hesitated and it was gone.

@surrealdeal and ivelegacy I don't like to take apart complete Octanes but if between you two it all goes to good homes I will part one. It would help if everybody put your location in your profile so I can get an idea of how much of a system to offer.

I have offered big parts for free in response to a post only to find out the member is 5000 miles away.

Heck, if hamei was closer I would have already sent him 200 pounds of crap.

That is one reason I bought the machine. I wanted the system because it was a true 4x1ghz with nice plastics and to find out what the heck that card is.

I will update you guys when I find out.

Well done!
Do those systems use an ATX motherboard or is it a SGI specific board?

Keep your eyes open on ebay as often these are listed as "drive arrays" when in fact they are O200s.

You're the lucky one?

Well, not so lucky. Both side panels got broken in shipping and bent the rear fan housing.
They had three inches of foam on top of the machine and one inch on bottom, I guess in case UPS dropped it upside down. Piss poor packing.

The card will be getting the bandsaw as the card has a particularly nasty DOD warning on it.

So much for the great original tezro deal. Hopefully the rest of the system is undamaged that way I will still be ahead.

I will take some photos. Not much to look at, it says "X-Patch Tezro" on it I will also take photos of other cards I have pulled from origins. One is marked "missile emulator" and there are several Xilinx boards as well.
