I've been curious as to what type of hardware we all own. As Sgi boxen go, I own 3 Iris Indigos, an Indy and an Indigo2(purple). I also own 9 Sun's, 3 NeXT's, 1 BeBox, 4 Tandy's, 1 Commodore 128D, a older x86 Xenix server and around 35-40 Mac and Mac Clones (haven't counted recently). I can't seem to let a computer get dumpstered.

Happy New Year!
It's going to be 70 degrees F in Dallas, Texas today. A little foggy right now, but sunny later.
I am so hung over.

We so rarely get snow that people drive like idiots on it and I stay off the road whenever possible. I live on a lake shore and there are only two bridges that connect my town with the rest of the Dallas area. If it snows or we get ice, I'm pretty well grounded until it melts. The most snow I've ever seen is about 12 inches at one time. We usually just get a fraction of an inch or so.
I've had my Octane for only a few months and really haven't used it more than a couple of hours. Can an Octane be dual headed with a pair of SE cards? There have been some SE cards on ebay for a few bucks and I would like to experiment a bit.

Mine is Bourbon whiskey on the rocks, preferably Maker's Mark.
One of my favorites, but I must confess a taste for Gentleman Jack, anejo tequila and single malt scotch - Glenlivet at the moment. I drift around a lot between brands.

And I just realized I can't even remember what I used to open that Gmail account. Crap
Check your PM's Neko.

Tonight? Jim Beam. Last night it was Cuervo Anejo tequila shooters. When Curevo discontinued their Anejo, I bought quite a few bottles to keep. It's smoothness seems closer to a bourbon than a tequila.
I'm allergic to the malt in beers. Since I really don't like getting really sick, beer is out for me. So I stick to wine (usually Italian reds) or spirits. I tend to drink bourbon a lot. Mostly I drink Gentleman Jack or Jim Beam. I also keep Maker's Mark and a couple of different single barrel brands. For vodka it's Tito's Handmade Vodka. Not as medicinal as most vodka's, Tito's has a spicy, almost peppery taste. In gin, I prefer either Bombay Sapphire or Tanqueray.
My wife experiments with a lot of different liqueurs. She has collected 30-40 different ones in the bar. She seems to always go back to either Baileys or Di Saronno.

I only wish mine were that low. At the present, mine is $370 a month for a three bedroom 1200 sqft apartment in Dallas. In April or May depending upon construction progress, I'm moving to our new house so we will be cooling 4200 sqft. But the bright side of that is we will no longer be buying power from TXU. our new town is servered by a coop that has no profit built into it's rate structure. So the price per kwh is currently $.08 a kwh as opposed to the $.135 per kwh I'm paying from TXU.
Another bright side to moving is my new garage/server room/office. It's 10x20, on it's own air conditioning unit and no shortage of bandwidth or power as all the utilities pass through the garage. I've even had the contractor make provisions for a natural gas powered backup generator. We will be served by Verizon FIOS 5mb up/35mb down internet service, so I don't think internet speed will be a problem. It will make a $3500 a month mortgage seem almost worth it.

I've only picked up one piece of Sgi hardware in the past year. That one was a free Indy R5K. I'm ashamed to say it's still on the shelf. I haven't even had time to check it out yet.
I have bought several pieces of Mac hardware: three Powerbooks, an iBook, a Sawtooth G4 and several G3's - some of them freebies.
