Yeh I agree Spidy, I picked up a cheap older 4 port KVM (can check the brand for you tonight), one that works with unix machines. Unfortunately I can't get the mouse to work, but i think this is a common problem with sgi's and kvm's. i haven't tried VNC on my octane, but I use it with my macs.

Just wanted to say I love iconbar SQueen. I just started using it and love it, thanks for a great program, it really adds functionalty to Irix!

I picked up a cheap Sun Ultra 10 workstation. It is a 300mhz US IIi with onboard graphics. Just wondering if anyone in Oz has a faster CPU, maybe 440mhz and a UPA graphics card they wanted to sell me?

Hey Ian, well played well on my core 2 duo work laptop, I'll have to try it on my o2 R10 195 and let you know. Can't wait until you digitise them all. These videos are rare and are the only way we can travel back in time to relive the 'glory' days

I really don't want to ship themas the 320 is heavy (I will consider shipping the O2 and Indy), but if you are willing to pay and organise your own courier then ok. If there is no interest I will put them up on Ebay.

SGI Indy - Specs - R5k 150SC with 256m Ram, 24bit Video, 9 Gig scsi disk with Irix 6.5.22 installed. Comes with Indy cam, granite keyboard and mouse and if you want an original 17" SGI Monitor. As you can see it is in imaculate condition.

SGI 320 - Specs - Single Celeron 1.4GHZ with slotket, 726meg Ram, 120g IDE Disk, Bootable SCSI Card, Floppy, CDROM, Onboard Video as well as the 1600SW Flat Panel Adapter. Win 2000 as well as a ton of programs installed. Comes with all Manuals, Restore CD's for NT and whatever came with it originally and a grey SGI Keyboard and mouse. As you can see it is also in great condition. This machine was boxed by the original owner for years. I can also throw in 2 other 320's and spares (not sure if they work).

O2 - R10 195mhz with 512m Ram, 36G SCSI, CDROM, Video Capture Card with Moose Cam and 1600SW LCD Adapter. Comes with Blue SGI PS2 Keyboard and mouse. Cosmetically it is immaculate condition.

1600SW LCD with Colorlock. Cosmetically very god with a few scratches on the plastic. The screen looks great, bright and sharp. (Photo of LCD attached to my macbook)

I am after $360.00AU for the whole lot (multilink adapter not included)

These are getting harder to get in this condition.

I have an Origin 200 and Vault to sell. Here are the details:

Origin 200
Single 180mhz Processor with 128meg Ram, an original CD-ROM and 3 Disks (1x 9GB, 1x2GB and 1x4GB).
It has skins but no feet. Unfortunately the front plastic is broken and it has no door.
It fired up fine last time I booted it 6 months ago.
I can add a bag of Ram, should get you 512MB easily with ram left over.
This came from Monash Uni Earth Science Dept. and hasn't had the disk erased, so you never know what you may find.



Origin Vault
It is a rack mount with a CD-ROM and has 6x9GB Disks. Front Plastic is in good condition but no door.
Comes with Spare Power Supply and 2 spare front Plastics.

I would like $250 for the lot as these rarely come up for sale in Oz. Melbourne buyer only as these weigh a ton!

I have a Quad Xeon 1400 with 4 x 700mhz Xeon's with 2MB Cache each. It has a Gig Ram, 1 x 18G and 1 x 4G Drives (I only have 2 caddies) and a PCI Ethernet Card. This is not an original SGI, it is a IPEX server. I bought the SGI 1400 front plastics from a guy in Germany, but they both share the same Intel Reference Designed Case. It was rack mounted so it is missing the top, bottom and one side metal. Works great. I disables 2 of the 3 power supples to quiten it and it had a 4 Disk SATA Raid in it that ran great. No Cdrom, but you can install one cheaply.


I am after $70 for it. Same deal as the origins, Melbourne pick up only as it also weighs a ton.

I have a Powerleap Pl-Ip3 Slot 1 to socket 370 Adapter. This is the only sure way to upgrade your SGI 320 to s socket 370 Celeron up to 1.4GHZ. Mine comes with a 1.3GHZ Celeron and Install notes. I used to have it in my previous 320 and works great.
