The collected works of noisetonepause

I bought one quite like that for fifty quid recently, with (35 kilos of) monitor, original mouse and keyboard, indycam + mic, irix 6.5 disks, etc.

Also, I'm 99% certain there would be no import duties if buying from within the EEC - that is what it's for, after all!

I'd start by removing Firefox. It's shit on any platform IMO, OS X most of all. There's Camino if you really must have Gecko, but I've tried all the browsers on Mac and I prefer Safari by far. It doesn't get in the way and it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

Quicksilver I use almost constantly. It's very interesting..
No, but I'm getting a Duo Dock Plus this friday.

I'm not sure it's compatible and I'm not sure you want to pay shipping from Denmark (I have no idea what it weighs), but if you want to we can probably work something out..
Probably makes more sense to find one slightly more local - I really just done know what to with the one I'm getting, but the guy was threatening to recycle it!
Definitely the colours...

Got my first Indy early last year, then an O2 but it isn't working.

I really like the Indy, though, cos it's different..
Jirka TolvÄrige?! That's not a name... (er det?!)
Most of the things I buy on eBay are BIN-only auctions with small computer items from China.. occasionally a small thing from Germany, but then you can usually trust a German...

Only time I thought I had a bargain on eBay I threw over 100 euros out the window like an idiot on stupid pills. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

I have to say I think the idea of an auction site is suboptimal. For anything that costs more than I can afford to lose, I really prefer to have a look first.

Very true.

As a vegatarian for more than five years, I don't see what that has to do with eating meat, though?
Excellent. You could sell those.
The only thing secure about IRIX is that it's so old nobody remembers how to break it...

No, seriously. Go for OpenBSD. You'll love it.
I've used mpg123 (command line) and possible mpd.

Indy is a lot of watts for an mp3 player, I have to say though.
Oh, there are MP3 players for 68k Macs. As long as you're not compiling at the same time...

I think I measured mine to be in the 50-60W range with a newish 15k RPM disk.

Thanks for this!
I'd rather get new co-workers than a new keyboard - Seriously, every time I set down with my Apple Extended II and type my username and password, I let out a satisfied sigh. The joy of a good keyboard is second to very little (that happens in the office, at least).
And there's one in Denmark that I've been seriously thinking of binning...
