Hardware Wanted

UK Indy

I've been waiting for an Indy to appear on ebay UK for what feels like forever!

Has anyone who lives in the UK got an Indy they're willing to sell me?
Not in the UK, but I have two Indys that have to go (spring cleaning).

Good looking / R4400 / 128MB / 24bit gfx / 2GB disk
I can probably supply Indycam and/or mouse+keyb too.
Now this is a deep dark secret, so everybody keep it quiet :)
It turns out that when reset, the WD33C93 defaults to a SCSI ID of 0, and it was simpler to leave it that way... -- Dave Olson, in comp.sys.sgi

Currently in commercial service: Image :Onyx2: (2x) :O3x02L:
In the museum : almost every MIPS/IRIX system.
Wanted : GM1 board for Professional Series GT graphics (030-0076-003, 030-0076-004)
I could be persuaded to part with my Indy for the right price.

The Hinv is here - http://forums.nekochan.net/viewtopic.php?t=9107 .

It would have to be collected from Portsmouth though as I wouldn't feel comfortable shipping it.
Thanks guys! I'm afraid I can't collect and I'm a bit worried about import duty and shipping costs to have one delivered from outside the UK

Did the British finally leave the EU ? :D

Anyway, success finding your Indy closer by.

What spec are you looking for? I have an R4400SC 150MHz here that I can live without.
24 bit XL graphics, 2x 2GB drives, RAM negotiable.

That sounds good, though i've not been following the prices on Indy's and there isn't many on ebay at the moment to know how much to offer. Can anyone give me some help?
I bought one quite like that for fifty quid recently, with (35 kilos of) monitor, original mouse and keyboard, indycam + mic, irix 6.5 disks, etc.

Also, I'm 99% certain there would be no import duties if buying from within the EEC - that is what it's for, after all!

I know there is no import duty when shipping within the EU, its the shipping costs that would break me there. I just added that in as a more general comment to those outside the EU on this board.

Search for "SGI Indy" on ebay.de and I'm sure you will find something interesting in a few days/weeks.
The shipping is usually 20-30€ from Germany.

I have loads of Indys available, haven't put any on eBay as I don't have the time (wanted
to put up some R4600PC/133 systems to begin with).

What do you need? Shipping for anything would just be 10 for PF48, and _nobody_ packs
better than me. 8) The last Indy I sold went to Poland.

Do you want a really basic system, or something with a bit of oomph and a decent disk?
