I'm a big fan of cathode. But nothing beats the real thing. For that I break out my HD Concept APL terminal and go to town. Who needs simulated flicker.

I went ahead and bought a license for cathode a few weeks ago. It's nifty enough and well-done enough to be worth it (only $10); though I don't use it too much it is a lot of fun to show off. terminal.app still works nicely for my needs.
