Of course, that's what I've tried to express; but maybe I've not phrased well. I've tried to mean that I enjoy a lot the fact that you could not tell if you are logged into a MIPS/IRIX box or into MaXX Desktop... both virtually behave the same!

you need to use rox or something like it for desktop in MaXX desktop.

I'm not a big fan of rox I think it is flimsy (a bit too configurable).

I don't think there's a replacement for icon bar right now.

Everything that's skin deep seems to work very well.
