WindowsXP and Solaris Dual Boot: Any issues?

I need to save some space since someone gave me a nice year old Dell thats a lot faster than my current WinXP and Solaris PC's combined. Is there any issues anyone ran across trying to get both OSes to get along on the same system?

Pretty standard. Solaris uses grub so it sound't be hard to set up.
Yup, Windows does not play nice with other O/Ses and boot blocks, primary/secondary drives, etc.. install Windows first and then install Solaris second.

Or before installing windows, back up your boot sector to a floppy, boot from it after, and add entry for windoze to write back to HDD.
I think I'll use a bios boot priority trick and install a separate hd for Solaris. Also, how does the x11 system do with an Intel Expreme 2?

Well, you'll have crap 3D performance, so you'll want to turn off any Vista Aero-like features of the given desktop environment you use, but it should be fine for everyday usage.
I've just started playing with an install on a WinXp (hda1), Opensuse 10.2 (Hdb1) system. I could'nt make the fdisk parameters see the hdb disk...any ideas..or am I simply doing it wrong (spoiled by Yast)

I do this now and have found it the fine. I'm using this method on an Ultra 20 running Solaris 10 and XP64. The only issue I have is needing to reboot the cablemodem after I switch from one drive to the other.
Sorry for the thread Necromancy, but I'm getting an Averatec Laptop with a possible bad hd ( no problem since i have a 30 gig laptop hd In my parts stash) for free. Has anyone here installed Solaris on this brand yet? What possible issues could I bump into?
