Abuse for Irix - Help Required - Page 2

Another reason why I'm not the right one to take this over: I don't have matching compiler frontend CDs for the developer libs CDs I have. 7.3 compilers and 1.2 DL CDs just don't work, so I'm stuck with gcc. In this case (plain C) mixing gcc compiles plugin and the mipspro-compiled fw_xmms does work, but I wouldn't really want to rely on that.

I've been meaning to try the audio fix but wound up going to bed early last night.

I would like to know how is the speed on your system.
for me I get good sound but the game freeze from time to time.
Im using an Octane R12K SSE gfx without tram.
I'll add my 2 cents to the discussion.
I've noticed, at least on my O2, that when XMMS freezes in the gr_osview I have the CPU consumed waiting for "pio".

Anyone know of any decent VRML 2.0 world creation tools (besides cosmo worlds) that run on irix? I'm looking for something that I can do a building on and be able to walk thorugh it...
