I seems it's my good old friend, the gcc -O2 and beyond optimization bug. I don't remember which of the four files have to be compiled with -O0 to get anything visible, but I think it goes along with an initialization problem in cyclone, i.e. I have to resize the window before anything gets drawn. Cyclone is nice but slow as molasses (on my O2 R5k/200, that is).

irssi 0.8.8 tardist, with optional Perl module (compiled against the base perl of 6.5.22,
perhaps not the best choice, but anyway...)

N32 mips4 binaries compiled with MIPSPro (not that it really matters), I can do other abi/isa on demand.

A n32 mips3 binary would be really nice - I've had trouble compiling irssi on my I2 R4400 (although admittedly, I didn't try too hard).

Yeah, thanks for building rss for us. I have been looking around for more screensavers. Like some other people, I am having issues with a few savers. (Octane SI+TRAM). SolarWinds draws the black box around the glow/star image, so instead of nice gradients I get overlapping boxes. Oh, well. I am just happy to have flocks and field lines.

tell me, did they fix the "sockaddr_union" error in later versions?

last one i tried was irssi-0.8.6.CVS. i got it working and submitted a patch but never head anything from them.
