Hardware For Sale/Trade

Trade: Atari Falcon for Octane2

Hi!

Im looking for my first ever SGI machine and thought I'd see if anyone here is interested in a trade for an Atari Falcon.

The Falcon has a CT2 accelerator which gives it a 50mhz 68030, FPU and TT-RAM (FastRAM).
It's fitted right now with a 40gb harddrive, 14mb ST-RAM (ChipRAM) and 128mb TT-RAM (FastRAM).
Everything is mounted in a stock Atari Falcon case. Factory new PSU last year (old stock).

Im located in Sweden.

An Indy R5K for a Falcon with a CT2? Perhaps you can sell him a bridge in Manhattan while you're at it. ;)
smit happens.

Hi Knezzen!

Don't you look for your first ever Sun machine? Have some for trading. J

No, it's not a trade proposal, I am not interested in any Atari/Amiga/m68k/whatever, I offered a machine (the cheapest) for money, as it's his/her first SGI machine. Consider it as "an option".

Thanks, but I'll start with trying to find someone to trade with. I need to free up some space at home anyway.

Actually, time ago i did swapped my low end Octane2 for an 1040 STFM, octane did seat around unused and was collecting dust, now i have much more fun (also) with the Atari (the octane gone to a good collector home). Casually playing some old games (immense fun), then attached to my Korg M1 with cubase (my primary goal), gives me that 90's atmosphere i just need :D Wouldn't give away my Indigo2 and Indy for anything though.
I've got a MegaST in storage doing nothing I need to do something with.

The A4000 would probably agree ...

I got it when I had grand ideas of a music workstation but the "music workstation" became a combination of a Yamaha CX5M (with the upgraded MIDI-capable sound module) and a strawberry iMac G3 running ProTools and a USB MIDI interface.

Thanks man! Can you see who it is in the avatar? ;)
I might have found somone to trade with here in Sweden, the deal is not 100% done yet though.

The Ataris are awesome music making machines. I still use an STE running Notator SL in my studio. I just love pattern sequencers.
