nekoware cleanup project - Page 2

Great job on this hamei !
I know I said I'd help but I've been obsessing over my dmrecord/virtual memory problem.
Am learning lots about C and unix memory though.
Really enjoy reading sgi tech pubs documentation.

Much appreciate the TLC the package archive is getting. A platform without TLC is a dead one.

I've got a nice SGI 21"-er I can donate. C'mon by and pick it up :P

You figure out the dmrecord problem and we'll let you slide on the nekoware responsibilities ....
Hi,
my Octane 2 (400Mhz & 2 GB RAM) and O2 (R5200 256MB) are ready to test packages with 6.521f and 6.5.30 in both machines. Irix 6.5.21f hard disks have a nearly full nekoware installation also to check dependencies.

I praise for get some more free time!

Pymble is going to love this, but a little entry in the wiki about each app might be handy ? I know he doesn't have enough to do, this will keep him off the streets for a while

At one time joerg had a script that would automatically pull the release notes from a tardist and create a wiki entry based on it (he used it on his own wiki). I'm not sure if he still has it anymore; he's pretty much moved on.

Iam far away but not dead.

IIRC i have written two or three scripts.
- Collect the dependencies and pulls out the package IDs
- Simple checking if the package contains the minum of files and informations
- a neko_import which extract the infos from package and upload the information into a mediawiki. It works fine on my own test environment but the nekochan wiki have the captcha which is a problem for my script

My two 32 CPU Origins are shutdown some time ago because i cant affort the costs for power and cooling. It was a great time which never comes back again

Regards
Joerg

Haven't had a captcha (ConfirmEdit) for a while now. Instead, I installed ConfirmAccount which allows trusted accounts to post whatever they want. Stops the random link farmers/vandals and would still allow a script like that to run.
