Well, picked up my goodies from chicaneuk tonight and drove back very smoothly.
First problem, TOC battery, previous owner had done the mod, but connection wasn't secure.. sellotape and a hair clip has solved that.
While the Date was well out there was all sorts of failures, but setting the date has solved them.
Machine is in excellent condition and clean (thanks chicaneuk) albeit a few scratch's on the roof.
Came with a shitload of stuff, software, cables drives & enclosures.
BUT!!!!
Mouse does not work..
Logging in as root has the cursor in the centre of the screen on top of a shell.. So I can type stuff, but navigating around is a bit of an issue (ideas?).
In the collection of software, there is a CD called Desktop Special Edition 1.1 1995 812-0410-002 11/95
So much software, I haven't had a chance to go through it yet.
Of interest installed on the system, Usual C/C++/Fortran etc.. plus Pro/Engineer & it works.. and when it works.. the mouse moves, in very small jumps..
I'll post hinv once I get it on the network.. and it's name is BLACK...
I cannot believe after all these years I have an Indigo again.. without doubt my favourite SGI!
### Edit ### I think the mouse is disabled because it had tablet????
### Edit Edit ### And relax.. it's now working...
### Edit Edit Edit ### After a cold boot it starts playing up again. Mouse ball? Heat?
### Edit Edit Edit Edit ### Turns out it was a sticky ball.. judging by what I found.. I am not surprised.

Well, chicaneuk did say he was a nice guy and that he was a graphics engineer.. well judging by the amount of porn I've found, I suspect he did very little work! The machines full of it!
