Sure did, thought it was quite a good test (mathematically).
I have seen a linux version floating about, so I wonder if anyone could compile it for Irix?

I only have the demo cds for an octane and O2(can't use the O2 ones as the cd drive doesn't work)

Well personally I just liked the demo and the general 'theme' of the octane!

There is a guy I know, we used to go on road trips to pick up SGI gear, he never posts and whenever I see him on nekochan (the whois online thing at the bottom of the page), he is always searching forums..I bet he is not the only one. The wiki is almost nothing but if people start finding stuff there ... and it starts to get used.. someone might post things I want (Forum posts and PMs on the topic didn't help much).... like someone complete the Origin 300 R brick topic... please .

This makes me sad :( Those are the most awkward bunch of ice skaters I've ever seen. And the graphics effects are absolute shit. Did Rackable sack *all* of SGI's artists during the buyout, or just the good ones?

It's got the quality of an entry-level high school computer graphics class project rendered on a Pentium 3 with a GeForceMX...
normally I use a Sony dsc-p72 camera which takes very nice still pictures but the video quality... leaves a bit to be desired. Plus, about a year ago something happened to the mic (got wet?) and now everything sounds garbled and muddy. So I borrowed my parent's trv70 (I am pretty sure that is the model... a dv "handycam" from 2003 or so) which has a working microphone. Anyways the problem isn't the mic, but my voice.

I would fix my camera mic but last time I took it apart when the zoom lens jammed, it took like 4 hours to figure out how to put it back together.

And yes, emgee I have a box of (7 or 8?) shure 57 that I got for "free", and drum clips and stands and cables and an old yamaha mixer... The vast vast majority of mics I've ever used have XLR connection.
Google: Don't Be Evil. Apple: Don't Be Greedy. Microsoft: Don't Be Stupid.
aw man! not the lens man, it's a tragedy on its own

but give us some funky drumming on your next cut

btw, i just found aj's viddy thread , will you guys join forces for a single nekotube?
Sybrfreq and I could be a potent mix - we could do a Crimson/Onyx double feature, with helpful hints about loading and transport of the systems ;)

I feel quite badly about not having posted any more videos in recent months - school really has eaten up most of my time, but I should be able to get the Color Classic review up by late May, and then hopefully can do a nice O2 video later this summer. The CC review should be fun, and I'd like to show it connecting to Glenn Chase's Color Classic web server over the internet - two 16Mhz machines exchanging web pages is a sight to behold!
here's where I would kindly like to point out the fact that aj probably spends a few days, or very long days, working on his videos where I took about half an hour (including looking for a blank tape) to do a 20 minute one. and then another hour monkeying around trying to get it to upload.

To do one of those things properly takes a lot of time. I would like to do one of my N8VEM, haven't touched the thing in over a year but I still get their daily mail list digest. But I need more time to do it properly.

That would be a great one to do! I haven't touched my N8VEM in a long while either; I keep buying the expansion boards as they're released but haven't sat down to build any of them :)

I'm hoping Andrew eventually releases enough of the N8VEM S-100 boards to complete a system and build that. He sent out a spreadsheet the other way with a slew of S-100 boards he's working on - looks like everything needed is on there now.
