Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade the graphics in my Octane2. Anyone have a V12 card for sale?

Thanks.

There's a copy of Partiview 0.7 for IRIX here: http://dart.ncsa.uiuc.edu/slevy/amnh/ .

If you download the Linux Digitual Universe archive available on the Hayden site and replace the copy of partiview in that archive with the one from the link above, you should be all set (at least it worked for me on my machine).

smj wrote: Update: For kicks, I ordered a 746797-001 off of ePay -- it fits the O300 just fine. Updated this wiki page to reflect this.

I also noticed an auction for "GATEWAY Hard Drive Blank Caddy 741202-001" that from the pictures looks to be an identical part. Added that to the wiki as speculative.

Also, if you haven't found it yet you might want to check out this thread Wanted: O300 hard drive rails .

I realize this is an old thread, but I didn't seem to find this confirmed anywhere else. I purchased a few of the Gateway sleds you mention and they work fine in my O300. For future reference they're ASSY 746802-002 with 203368 WW03/01 printed underneath. Here are the individual part numbers for those trying to track them down on eBay--I've seen them listed under a few of these:

Baffle: 741202-001
Sled: 746797-001
Detachable Grill: 739241-002

The detachable grill slides into the little slot on the top of the sled and covers much of the top drive bay in the O300. Also worth pointing out that the little lever on the front is beige and not black like many of the other compatible sleds.

Could it be a Power Series 830 or 850? I couldn't find a ton of details, but the Wikipedia article seems to indicate they're the PC counterparts of the Model 7248 RS/6000. There's some additional detail in the article about the PowerPC version of OS/2 as well, which I didn't even know existed.
