There's a compiler and assembler on the wayback machine for the 34010... gcc 2.5 based so pretty old but also much smaller codebase than modern gcc might be of interest to directly program the TMS340x0 on there.

Apparently he was the graphics hardware guy at Solborne at least for their clone cards as he did a large part of the work on the bwtwo etc...

It is also worth nothing that all sparcs have the same instruction length of 32bits... something I didn't initially realize as I thought 64bit sparcs had 64bit length. The main difference with 64bit sparc is 64bit pointers .... it would have been nice if there were a mode where you could thunk in and out of direct mapped register files. Making it more like MIPS... and less dated and potentially easier to pipeline.
You can just get someone on here from Europe to ship it to you by proxy... that's what I did.
