Interesting - they do not allow gmail accounts for email. I just signed up for an account to be able to learn a little bit more about my old enemy (and had to use my .edu email address).

Interesting - perhaps you have more then one version of SSH installed on the system and the wrong sshd is running?

Considering that at best you'll be running OS X 10.5, and that PPC applications haven't been usable on Intel for a long time (since 10.7 came out), how much porting/coding are you actually going to be able to do? I struggle to find things that will run on 10.6 on Intel these days, much less for PPC...

And....the installer script is shot. No work (bad URL).

External CD-ROM and External HDD? Nice. We had those Sun Drives attached to a SPARCCLassic that was smaller then they were.
