The collected works of PiZzA EnGiNeEr

I got one of these workstations and thought I'd post a couple pictures of it. I got it off eBay (shipped from Ohio) and apparently it came from a supercomputer cluster in Ohio ( http://www.entrepreneur.com/tradejourna ... 98873.html ). It has the myricom card, 4GB of memory and the single 18.2GB drive. Shipping weight was 85+ lbs. The drive was wiped and I installed a Windows trial off MSDN just to verify all the hardware works as it should. I'll be loading Linux on this box tonight (hopefully an IA64 version of RHEL off RHN).

Apparently this was sold my multiple vendors as a rebranded reference system... HP supports HP-UX on the i2000 and this looks almost identical to the i2000. Are there any chances HPUX for IA64 will run on this?
As far as I know they are used in specialized CAD and printing systems. Check out this link halfway down the page... it's some sort of printing setup powered by an AlphaStation 200:

Top SCSI board looks like a Smart array 6400 that someone removed the 2ch addon on. The other with the square connector are the Qlogic HBA boards for probably connecting to a SAN. Those are some nice servers. We have older Proliants and they just don't quit. You can grab the HP Firmware update CD/DVD off HP's site to get them up to date (BIOS, Smart array firmware, etc) and they have the Smart start CDs too if if you ever need to do an automated install for Windows/Linux.
I have for sale 4 36.4GB 15k SCSI drives with caddies for the HP Integrity and PA-RISC systems. Includes 2 pairs of 2 identical matched drives. All surface scanned and fully tested working. Asking $75 shipped for the lot.
For sale is an AGP Radeon 7500 for HP Integrity and AlphaServer systems. It was pulled from a GS1280 and I tested it in an HP zx6000 Itanium workstation and it worked great with OpenVMS. Asking $50 shipped.
I have for sale a tested and working VAXstation 4000 VLC system. The unit has 24MB of memory and a 2GB hard drive running VMS 7.3 (no licenses included... they can be acquired through the HP hobbyist program). The case is in good shape with a little yellowing but no broken plastic. Fans are good and I put the SCSI drive in a PC and ran it through IBM Drive Fitness and it is certified error free. It is set up to run headless and I'll include a homemade MMJ to serial cable and a power cable with it. Also I have an AUI to rj45 transceiver I'll include too so it can be connected to a modern network easily. Asking $175 shipped for the system. any questions let me know.

For sale is a used SunPCI III board with an attached firewire/usb card and serial/parallel breakout connectors (entire setup takes 3 PCI slots). This is Sun P/N 375-3116 and has 2x 512MB DIMMs installed. Asking $35 shipped for the board.
I've accessed an Octane before when it wouldn't output any video through the serial port. I think it was the normal 9600 81n and if I remember it would display hardware diagnostics when it powered on and there was a key combo to press to break into the console.
