Hardware For Sale/Trade

FS: Octane 300mhz, "later" green skin

Asking $300

Inherited this thing late last year - unfortunately i'm at a point in my life where I just don't have the time for this thing, so i'd rather have someone else enjoy it.

Skins are in near factory condition - door is intact.

Nice!

Is it a secret hinv?

Deal with previous buyer fell through, unit is still available.
Unit is still available.

Make an offer - needs to go badly. Please don't make me throw it in the trash!

UPDATE: Adding extra octane CMNB015ANF250 - doesn't power on, everything else is good. You can two for the price of one - local pickup preferred.

I would really recommend you post a public hinv of it. An Octane of any type has at least some value, but you are leaving people to fish in the dark a bit regarding the RAM, graphics, XBow version, etc.

Do hope someone takes it off your hands!

Any way to get a hinv of it headless with a db9 console cable? I don't have a monitor handy to get a hinv output, I've heard consoling in over a COM port can produce the same result...

I have a bunch of Cisco serial to db9 adapters / USB to serial, could this work?
I believe it should be possible to get the hinv via a console cable.

Alternatively, if you can simply confirm whether it's single/dual processor, the memory amount and graphics boards fitted it will be very helpful to people (and XBow version if you know it).

People are more likely to want to drive and pick it up if they know what they're getting :)

I've accessed an Octane before when it wouldn't output any video through the serial port. I think it was the normal 9600 81n and if I remember it would display hardware diagnostics when it powered on and there was a key combo to press to break into the console.
I'm interested. I'm Boston based, can we talk?
Hi again all, finally got around to this. The Cisco console cable and Trendnet TU-S9 linked with a female RJ45 to female DB9 works great for this if it helps anyone.
