Hi there,

If hardware was faulty in an O2 (say ECC errors in memory), where do those errors get logged to ?

I thought that ECC memory would quitely fix errors but only complain when it could not, then all hell would rain loose. My Ultra10 would dump the whole machine to disk and stop.

I find that running a serial console connected to another machine is good for reviewing the last minutes of a machine.

Also, try running some form of diagnostics if you think you have hardware problems.

Otherwise /etc/syslog.conf should give you some hints.

hi there!
i'been trying to playback some sequences i rendered and i have just noticed it seems djv needs the padding to be just before the file extension to work
i.e. i have a bunch of render.00**.OCC.tif that djv fails to understand as a sequence ( render.00**.tif goes ok, of course )
will this request give you a buch of headaches?

Does anyone have the installation sources for ShotMaker please? Or a URL where it can be downloaded? (the old location
on SGI's site no longer works). A free license for ShotMaker is available from SGI now (about time!) but they've not
bothered to correct/maintain the download source. If I can find the inst package, I'll add it to my site.
