Alpha Powered stickers - Page 1

Anyone have any "Alpha Powered" stickers I can purchase to stick on my 164LX case?

Failing that, does someone have a high-resolution scan of one so I can prep it for Sticker Mule or some such?

I knew you'd know!

I've had experience with making vinyl stickers before; see http://www.floodgap.com/iv/2412 (I do have some more of these). So I think I'll load these into Illustrator and make a production run through Sticker Mule. Due to the minimum order size, I will have some spares. :)

I'll probably offer the excess for sale, but I need to sit down and prep it first.

Finally sat down and executed the artwork. I did an AlphaPowered front badge (approximately 2"x0.78") with rounded corners, and decided to do an 11"x11" red right angle triangle with the Alpha cat as a case decal. I'm waiting for quotes from a couple printing bureaus I forwarded it to.

Meanwhile, the 164LX I bought as a "used kit" has been reassembled in a Nanoxia ATX case with an Antec PSU and I even got it a ZLXp-E3 video card (big freaking sucker with a bracket) so that there may be some hope of X11. Boots NetBSD like a champ. I'm trying to scare up a Tru64 4.0D CD so I can give that a try too.

I *am* looking for the rear ATX shield, though. The disassembled 164LX I bought didn't come with it.

Good luck with that. When I bought my 164LX new, it was nowhere to be found in the box :(

Ugh. It's really been itching my pedant not having that cover... (No, there wasn't any on the case I got my 164 in either (preowned)).

Maybe we could get some 3d-printed :-)

N.B.: I tend to talk out of my ass. Do not take it too seriously.
The manual does have the exact measurements, so it should be possible. It's really irking me also, since the case is nice and quiet except for that.

I don't know if there were any graphic software for OSF/1 nee Tru64, but NetBSD seems to like the ZLXp. wscons flies on it: http://www.floodgap.com/iv/2547

my bad, i took "video card" literally and thought of related applications. quick research revealed it's a regular graphics card

I can't tell if it's the NT or the OpenVMS/DUNIX variant though. There's no marking on the card that would say (PBXGA-CA versus -CN).

Got an estimate back from the sticker shop and it's not going to be wildly expensive, even for the 11" side decal. I'm going to order a small run of that and some AlphaPowered badges and post pics. There will probably be a few spares which I will sell for slightly over cost+s/h if people are interested.

I have two stickers that I would put on my laptop if I had one. One reads "My other computer runs OpenVMS" and the other reads "My other computer is a CRAY"

I saw a t-shirt that said "That Shit CRAY" and had a picture of a cray-1 outline on it. Anybody know where I can buy one like that ? :)
