EDITED 12.01.2012: V10 replaced by V12

After so many years I finally decided to buy a fuel. Hopefully Ian, as always, had lots of machines available at a very reasonable price. Moreover, he put so much care in the preparation, personalisation, packing and shipping of it that I'm fully satisfied. If you would like a new box working like a charm, he is definitely the guy you should contact. Thanks again for all, Ian.

I didn't found enough time up to now to discover every personalisation and gift he included... but I will have soon. I'm really looking forward to playing with it. It's such a nice machine.

Let's have a look at its outputs right now !

Wow, great machine! Which manufacturer is the drive identifying itself with the tag "ModusLnk" from, Fujitsu? Some indication this is the case from a quick Google search, but not definitive...

It is a Fujitsu Worldisk, 36GB. I'll have a look at it this evening and give you more details soon. Maybe Ian will read this post and could answer better and faster than me.

If someone wonders what monitor I have, here is tha answer: GDM-FW9011. Sgi 24" 16:10 CRT weighting more than 50kg. My back still remembers (I used to live on the 5th floor without elevator).

No doubt! I lived in a 6th floor walk-up in Manhattan for four years in the mid- to late-90s, and around the end of the first year had a monstrous Idek Iiyama 21" w/ motorized tilt/swivel base delivered. (I hope I tipped well for that delivery!) When I left I had movers deal with it, thank goodness...

Nice lair. And wow, intact Origin 200 plastic! Now, how do we go about duplicating them...? ;)

"Nice lair" you said... yes, because I've juste made order before the photo. Normally it's significantly more messy :)

Regarding the O200, the skins WERE perfect when they were given to me, as the O200 was used in my university and never moved since their installation. Unfortunately I didn't know the plastics were so fragile and tilted one of the towers during a move. Two feet immediately broke, so I had to remove the two others. Finaly, one door "axis" broke too, but on the other module... grrrr !

Anyway, If you know how to make them reproduce, give me a call ! It would be funny to have a baby O200 as paperweight...

When I got my O200, two or three of it's feet were attached with double sided tape :?
I drilled a hole through the 'foot hinge' and with a bolt + nut it's now stronger than when it was new.
Now this is a deep dark secret, so everybody keep it quiet :)
It turns out that when reset, the WD33C93 defaults to a SCSI ID of 0, and it was simpler to leave it that way... -- Dave Olson, in comp.sys.sgi

Well I don't, but fellow nekochanner sgifanatic has been developing aluminum skins for the IRIS Indigo in this thread - it's long, but stick with it and you'll see some amazing replacement parts.

I just read you old topic PS. At work, we'll probably buy a Faro 3D digitizer in a near future. If my collegues from the metrology let me use it, I could maybe give you the dimensions of a o200 skins, even a 3d model if I found enough time to process the data.

We'll see in a few weeks or months.
