Are my eyes bad or does the "before" picture look better than the "after" ?

yay! cool! awesome! killer app! best software evah!

palm trees in amsterdam, flying unicorns in parthenon and fluorescent monsters burping fire over the colosseum

all this tasteless shit (more than common a few years back) was considered an "industry" (gee-ef-ex, vee-ef-ex and a barber named peewee) and sparkled an apragmatism beyond local repair (both socially and economically).

no, your eyes are fine h. :)
Speaking of silly effects, has anyone else noticed the horrible color grading in modern Hollywood movies?

It's either all orange and teal, or they desaturate the colors way too much. Both of these effects might be cool if they're used in only a handful of scenes, but applying them to every scene usually ruins an otherwise good movie for me :?

EDIT: Someone wrote an article about this, with some good examples of the orange and teal color grading: http://theabyssgazes.blogspot.com/2010/03/teal-and-orange-hollywood-please-stop.html .

Hmmmm, so if this nasty trend started in the year 2000 it was probably done on O2s or Octanes running Shake?

indeed and the same trends i noticed for many other things. variety seems to be quite rare these days. as soon as there's one thing considered fancy everybody brainlessly jumps on it no matter what.

look at the cars for example, could you tell which one is from asia, europe or usa? no? indeed because all look so similar one could think there's only one designer who works for all companies :P

I cannot think of one new car or motorcycle I would want. Not one.

Well, maybe the BMW Z3. Then you could wear a Donald Duck suit and drive around going "quaaaack quackquack quack quackquack quack ..."

That might be kind of entertaining.

Maybe a Dodge Challenger, but then I think if I'm going to pay that much for a Challenger why not shell it out to someone who's got a still-cherried original? And yes, I would wear a Donald Duck suit while driving it... :P
