if you have a GXT135P (matrox gpu) and is on PCI:0001 you could get a working DRI but you need to patch the libdrm source.

I have read some papers from IBM talking about an n-way system. But they did not specify if the n referred to the number of processor boards (or books in IBMspeak), or number of packages/modules (or chip carriers in IBM's parlance) per processor board, or to the number of processors/dies per module, or to the number of cores per processor/die.

altought JS20 it's not supported maybe you could try to boot a CRUX PPC 2.7 (64bit).
Maybe you can use the YDL Powerstation bootkernel.

CRUX PPC is source based thus you have to compile stuff and it also has good support for ibm utils. And at least, it is very closed to an LFS system. You moreover have the option to rebuild glibc with your own cpu asm optimizations enabled.
