Wrote on the subject of Oracle 8 for Irix at Jan. 21, 2006, 6:36 p.m...

I'm trying to track down the Oracle Irix client, but without any luck. The oracle website only provides downloads going back to 9i and I think 8 was the last supported version for Irix. I believe these were free downloads at the time (like they are now) so I should be OK asking about this on nekochan. If no-one here can help me out, I guess the other option would be to contact oracle and see if they still have the download files available somewhere.

I'm having a problem on startup of scribus which gives this error:

2398:scribus: rld: Error: unresolvable symbol in scribus: inc__30QMapIterator__pt__10_7QStringiGv

2398:scribus: rld: Fatal Error: this executable has unresolvable symbols

but I still haven't been able to get it working. On my machine I have Kate and Kdevelop working just fine

Am I missing a font library?

I am hoping to do my archery club newsletter on my Octane with scribus.
