The collected works of hunterzzz

First let me thank you for all your hard work getting the MIPS3 packages built and out there for use. I really appreciate all the work you have invested. Especially since i have had an issue on an Indigo2 running 6.5.14m R4.4K 200MHZ IP22 with 320M RAM. The 'standard' supported version of Netscape Communicator does NOT support javascript (2?) at all - throws all kinds of errors on something simple like cnn.com. So i was looking for a firefox package - and stumbled upon your MIPS3 builds - perfect i thought, this outta do it. So, i grabbed the firefox-1.5.0.7 and its dependencies (expat, gettext, glib1,gtk1,iconv) and installed them all with no problems. Now when i go to run /usr/nekoware/bin/firefox it dumps core (moz_run_program[36]: 2006 Trace/BPT trap(coredump)). Can anyone assist me in debugging this little bugger? TIA!!!!
ARRGGGG i was hoping that wasnt the answer for the MIPS3 stuff, becuase this is a machine that a staff member uses for some crystallography stuff and another 3d app. and i am unsure his software would run under .22. Is that your final answer, LOL???
That i would love to see (maybe Neko has them). I checked and the staff member runs some really unusual stuff (chain, xtal, ccp4, etc) for some research stuff he does and i really can NOT risk breaking that stuff. SO, he may have to go without being able to surf the internet on the i2 and use his windows laptop instead. Definitely cant use the netscape communicator, it just bombs on most recently built sites (even though i upgraded to 4.8, LOL). Anyone seen the documentation/steps necessary to get this stuff to possibly run on an older irix (6.5.14m specifically) ? TIA
Thanks for the suggestion, i had looked at that before, and had worse deps than firefox, LOL. But let me revisit that and see how that goes. Looks like it wants (as usual) expat, gettext, glib1, gtk+1, libiconv PLUS ORBit, tcp_wrappers, gcc, indent - not sure i fully understand the reasoning behind some of the deps tho. All i can say is, WOW, thats a PITA - heeheehee - but WORKS....
