Thanks for the explanation, I think the effect is easier to grasp in the second picture because all the lines in the first one make understanding what you actually see quite difficult. But that makes it all the more awesome.

Was the Flying V a birthday present? In either case, Happy Birthday Gerhard!
Nope, I've bought it myself some days ago. Actually I was looking for a reasonable priced Les Paul, but that one just got me. Plays nice and sounds quite fat and heavy.
Thanks though.
There is much I can relate to in this thread. Personally I'd go for cars as an "exit hobby" myself but luckily space and skill prevents that.
Still I'm catching up. But I've caught something outside the forum that I'd like to show you right away, the "Indy Guitar":
It is a US made Jackson straight from 1988 dressed up in a color called "Blue Denim". The picture is a bit misleading, both the guitar and the Indy are pretty similar in color. The Jackson is just a bit more of a showgirl, giving all when the camera is pointed at her. I just couldn't find an Indy that still looks as vivid as the guitar, despite the almost 10 year difference in age.
