Mac mini G4 after diswasher session

hi all,

so i got this mac mini g4 from an ad agency for cheap. it is one of the latest rev from the "silent upgrade" era. since it came from a smokers environment its state was stinky disgusting, and when i opened up the case, it was filled up with dust bunnies with a smell of thousand fags. it came with a white extended usb keyboard and a mighty mouse also in a dubious shape at least from a hygienic point of view.
to make long story short...i took the whole punch straight into the dishwasher (incl. harddisk, superdrive...*gg*) and it came out like new. i did not expect much of it...but see attached shoots.

Seems reasonable. What do you plan to do with it?

not sure...i am someting in collecting ppc mac stuff. i have the powerbook g4 17 high res model and a titanium for os9 only. going to install tenfourfox on the mini to do some light web browsing. ;) maybe i will add a nice cinema display to the setup.

Seems reasonable. My TiBook is convenient for browsing, though prone to showing a spinning beach ball too long after waking up from sleep mode...

My daily driver is still a quad G5. Very useable.

I like the G4 mini, but the hard disk is a little too poky for my tastes.

I have a Quicksilver G4 that nekonoko built it into very respectable performer with dual 1.8Ghz processors, a 750GB SATA boot drive and an nVidia GeForce 7800GS graphics board.

It's been on semi-permanent loan to a friend, but she liked the Mac experience enough that she's purchased a Intel mini, so I'll soon have it back. The performance is still good enough that I plan to connect it to a similar vintage AJA Io for use with Final Cut Pro.
