"I'm totally unappreciated in my time. You can run this whole park from this room, with minimal staff, for up to three days. You think that kind of automation is easy? Or cheap? You know anybody who can network eight Connection Machines and de-bug two million lines of code for what I bid this job? Because if you can, I'd love to see him try."
why don't you tell us where he is going to throw it:)
Good point.

two of these, both with multilink, were on ebay ending on saturday. one ended for $50 and one ended for $6.50 - neither one met reserve, but that shows there's not much demand for these bad boys right now. I might have to get a second one to dual-screen. (I thought mine was a good deal at $200. I still think it was actually, compared to the kind of monitor you could buy at costco for $200)

Wow, just a year ago a 1600SW with MultiLink would have sold on eBay for well over $300 (I know, because I sold a set). Amazing how times have changed!

Though, to be fair, the dot pitch on those 1600SW screens is just a bit too high for my tastes - I think they run native in excess of 100 DPI, which makes text really tiny.

Two reasons why I didn't bid on them:
-I was at work from 9AM saturday to 2AM sunday, and I have awful luck with ebay auctions.
-what you just said. but at that price it is really a buyers' market, and breathtaking pictures, games, and videos more than make up for the tiny-text problem.

I'm in the frustrating position of having not one but two 1600sws... with only #9 cards.

MLAs seem to go for more on their own :/
I think in the latter case people were put off by the "temperamental" note on the mla, I know I was!
