First of all, I would like to say that thanks to this thread, my XVR-100 has now a DVI console. The only quirk is that if there is also a VGA monitor connected, the console is shown on it. Go figure.
Note that the firmware upgrading utility does NOT work in Solaris 11 Express for two reasons: the device for the XVR-100 has changed from 'pfb' to 'efb'; and the information fbconfig gives is different now.
