Alias Studio Paint v9.5 and license manager

hi guys
i am confused a bit, i have a valid license (it should be) for such a software but the license manager is reporting it is not valid

what is uncommon: the license is not in /var/flexlm/license.dat, as it MUST be for MIPS PRO C compiler
the Alias Studio Paint v9.5's license seems to be in /var/flexlm/aw_SP.dat

is it possible ? is it correct ?

Alias Studio Paint v9.5 can't be launched by root, so i have login as guest, and the software is reporting me there is no valid license

what is uncommon: if i launch WordPefect by root account, it runs, if i launch WordPerfect by a guest account … it says there is no valid license X_____X

any idea ?
may be a network problem ?

i am using my friend IMPACT machine, which has 3 lan boards

Code: Select all

ec0: flags=400c43<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,FILTMULTI,MULTICAST,IPALIAS>
inet 192.168.1.28 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
gfe1: flags=822<BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,MULTICAST>
fe0: flags=822<BROADCAST,NOTRAILERS,MULTICAST>
lo0: flags=1849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,CKSUM>
inet 127.0.0.1 netmask 0xff000000

ec0 is the built in lan, while gfe1 and fe0 are Phobos, i don't know them and they are not in use

Code: Select all

root # hinv

all alias lics go to /var/flexlm/aw.dat

solved: the problem was related to the Phobos lan, physically removing the interface gfe1 fixes the jam and the system is now accepting the license
