I think they're fully functional, but they're probably most useful as a latching mechanism donor to convert an Origin/Onyx2 XIO card to work in an Octane. They have good compression connectors as well.

It turns out that when reset, the WD33C93 defaults to a SCSI ID of 0, and it was simpler to leave it that way... -- Dave Olson, in comp.sys.sgi
