The V10 and V12 has far less memory available, but they're much more practical for a workstation. As I said, thebulbguy has had his electric bill go over $1000/month at times, and he has so many systems its not even funny.
Heh my poor octanes are gathering dust.. The only Sgi workstation I still use for the occasional modeling project are the Onyx2 desk-sides.. And Irix is
like a good old used leather couch ... Its my comfort go-to zone ..
