Just wondered if the specified RAM limit (16gb) for the Ultra 45 is based on the largest available modules at the time, or if it is a real hardware limit?
I'm asking because I browsed through ebay and spotted a 32gb RAM kit (8x4gb modules) specified for the Ultra 45.

Any ideas?

That's a real limit, the SPARC IIIi onboard memory controller doesn't have the pins to address beyond 8GB, the 16GB max for an Ultra 45 is with two CPUs, each of which takes care of 8GB. Yeah, SPARC is weird...
