Sun

Hi.

I'm considering getting an LCD to use with the U60, since my GDM died some years ago, and I don't have room for more of those beasts. I know there was one LCD 13w3 monitor, anyone know my options?

I'd like to keep it Sun branded for completeness and style, you know?

There's a Sun GH19PS for sale nearby. It doesn't have 13w3 but could I use it with a 13w3->VGA converter? I guess it needs to support SOG.

I have one of the Sun 24.1" LCDs that I like a lot. Has DVI and 13W3 inputs. 1920x1200 resolution.

I also like the legs being "outboard" instead of a center stand. Lets me put speakers, USB hub, etc. conveniently under the monitor.

They pop up on eBay from time to time. Currently there's item #330738674624 as an example, but get one that works and comes with the external power supply

Yeah that would be optimal, but is probably not going to appear locally unfortunately. I guess I might just pick up that GH19PS and a 13w3<->vga dongle and try it out.

Picked up the GH19PS (Sun model number seems to be X7144A), and it seems to work fine with the U60. In case someone else wonders.
