Sweet! Hope you're enjoying it. Do you notice a difference in speed between MXI and V6?

I haven't noticed much of a difference, but haven't been able to do much with it yet as I'm still getting the OS sorted out. Some 3d demos I tried seem much smoother than before; the big reason for the upgrade was so textured objects (especially games and videos) wouldn't have a scanlined appearance due to faulty tram.

also I think the power consumption is (maybe?) a bit lower.

Soon I will have a pair of Gigaworks T20 Series IIs hooked up to mine.

oh yeah, it's sweeter, badder, and just plain faster all around. (now that I've had a few months to wear it in ;) ) But a big reason for upgrading was to get rid of the MXI scanlines in textured windows, especially mplayer videos. Should have gone with a v8 though, the low color depth (I believe that is causing the dithering??) is a bit noticable for some things. In places I wouldn't expect to notice it, like fast-paced games such as quake2 and bzflag.

Now I need a faster pair of processors. Boy do I <3 my octane. All the other computers can go pound sand, I love my octane. :)

Well, if you must know, there is currently a pair of Mackie SRM450s just a rockin' but that is only a temporary setup. Normally I use a shure psm200 in-ear but sometimes you need to let a friend listen, and the octane speakers are perfectly adequate for getting a tune across.
