80ties CG - typical rend/raytr features compared to newer CG - Page 2

I recently scored a LaserGraphics 8k film recorder on ebay -- should be here in a few days. I can't wait to pipe some renderings into it to get that oldschool look :) Actually the reason I bought it is to experiment with getting an authentic film look with digital photos. I am/was a film snob, and hate how fake the typical Instagram-type filters look...

Surprised no one's mentioned UNISURF yet, developed by the man himself, Pierre Bezier in 1965: http://books.google.com/books?id=XY9qFd6TjskC&pg=PA176#v=onepage&q&f=false

By comparison everyone else was late to the party!
