I've been searching for a model of the o2 for sketchup without any luck, does anyone here have one that they can share?

I have this wrl file from somewhere (I take no credit for this work), but I was not able to load it into blender and export it to some other format. Perhaps it's a first starting point.

Huh! I converted it to an stl and tried to attach it, but phpBB says The extension stl is not allowed. :shock:

Could you convert it to a more common format like .skp - I can't open your file in sketchup :/

How about 3ds? Sketchup claims to be able to open that...

3ds as a file exchange format, whoda thunk... :lol:

IRIX has some tools which can convert various formats to OBJ. Try IvToObj (VRML files are a subset of the Inventor format, IIRC).

That's rather an amazing set of pages about the O2! It's got blurbs from Mike Nielsen, who was the chief engineer on the project, and Sanford Russell who was the product manager and is now a huge high mucky-muck at Nvidia.
