hi guys
it's an hw debugger for MC68020 (Motorola), I got a special offer (~200USD shipped from USA ohhh California) for the CodeICE but just for the hw, I do not know anything about the software it requires to work, I know this equipment has an AUI/LAN port and a serial (RJ22 ? DB9 ? WTF ? Who knows), so the protocol goes through the lan, which is good and HOST independent!
interesting notes I have found from the brochure (CodeICE 68040 Aug96)
but I know the CodeICE control application is multi platforms, I guess { HPUX/68k, SunOS/Sparc, Windows/x86 }
I wonder what "with GNU support" means … (GDB supported ? really ?)
Is there anyone experienced with these hw debuggers ?
p.s.
about the reason WHY? on the WHY? Oh Well, I have to confess my home made board is 68000-DIP, but … I have modified it to accept an Amiga-500 accelerator card, so It's possible to install a 68020 on it, and in this case … the 68020 is on a socket, so it's possible to remove the CPU, and install the CodeICE's pod in order to emulate the whole CPU processor, so, in short: Why On the Why ? 'cause it's machine porn

MWX-ICE for Microsoft Windows offers the same intuitive control and ease-of-use as the workstation version.
